Fusion Aces bounced back from last week’s surprise defeat to Trafford Social with a 5–2 win at Carters Arms, also taking the gallon 2–0. The result lifts them back to the top of Division 2, level on points with Ashton-on-Mersey.

Andy Brownhill set the tone in game one, seeing off Gavin Halton 3–0 before Geoff Talbot then doubled the lead, firing in four tons, a tidy 120 checkout, and an 18-dart leg to beat Phil Laws by the same score.

Carters hit back in game three as Harry Mitchell got them on the board with a 3–0 victory over Chris Cordingley, and they levelled at 2–2 when Martin Johnson edged a 3–2 over Dennis Hand — Johnson landing three tons and a 23-darter, while Hand impressed in defeat with eight tons and an 18-dart leg.

In game five Nigel Beeton’s 3–0 win over John Thierens Snr, including a 21-darter a 74 finish and the night’s only 180, restored the visitors’ lead, and Andy McCormack followed up, clinched the match at 4–2 after a 3–0 success against John Thierens Jnr, hitting six tons and a 23-dart leg along the way. Fusion Aces captain Dave Wood then wrapped up the evening, hitting a 20 darter while beating Dave Sills 3–1.
