Match Stats

Broadheath Central 1 vs 6 St Johns

Broadheath went into this match already one down due to being a player short, which is never the best way to start a game against a side still looking to close the gap to the Ammies at the top of the table, and it was 2-0 after a fine performance from Jez Saunders saw the St Johns man hit a 180, a 17 darter and finish with a 77.07 average after a 3-1 win over Leyton Jackson. It was soon 3-0 overall when Kaine Goldie claimed a 3-0 win over Darren Dobbin, but Brandon Lawley stopped the rot to get the home side on the scoreboard following a 3-0 win against Reece Tyson. Kraig Loose made it 4-1 on the night to wrap it up for St John’s with a 3-0 defeat of JonJo Devon, and further wins for Oliver Clarke (3-0 against Lee Darcey) and Martin Tyson (3-2 against Shane Crellin) ensured an emphatic victory for the Wythenshawe side.

Sean Edwards pulled one back for the Vic with a 3-0 defeat of Baz Rowland in game five, and after Jack Jarvis won a deciding leg against Mike Nolan, the Vic had two consolation points in the bag. That was to be it for the Vic though, as the final game saw a cracking performance from last seasons Division 3 individuals champion Gaz O’Donnell who hit two 18 dart legs, a 155 finish and an 80.52 average in his 3-0 win over Lewis Holley.

Rob was unlucky to be the loser in this one, hitting 9 ton-plus scores, an 18 darter and a 77.61 average which ordinarily would win most games, but he was up against an on-song Andy Pearson who ran out a 3-1 victor with 7 ton-plusses a 16 darter and an 80.61 average.
