Navigation left The Volunteer with a convincing 6–1 win on the night, backing up their 2–0 success in the gallon to make it a double celebration.
Chris Stone got Navigation off to a solid start by taking game one 3–2 against Gary Williams in a high‑scoring tussle. Williams rattled in nine 100‑pluses, an 18 darter and produced a brilliant 126 checkout, but Stone’s eight ton‑pluses and a 19‑dart leg saw him over the line. Andy Kindred followed that up with a 3–1 victory over Christopher Grinnell in game two.
Gary Molyneux kept the visitors moving in game three with a 3–1 win against James Roberts who managed 6 ton plusses in defeat, while Andy Broadhurst turned in a strong display in game four, hitting six ton‑pluses and a best leg of 18 darts as he beat Tony Grinnell 3–1 to make it 4–0 and secure the match overall.
With the result already beyond doubt, Matt Bulger then edged past Callum Cawley 3–0 in game five to make it 5-0, but Volunteer did pull one back in game six when Gary Grayson recorded a 3–0 success over Kev Kelly.There were to be no further consolation points however as Callum Loose rounded off the night with a 3–0 win in game seven, helped along by four ton‑pluses and a 19‑dart leg.
