Victoria Burnage edged a cracking match in which they had to come back from 3-1 down, winning the last three games to claim a narrow 4–3 victory after Cringlewood had stormed into an early lead.

Luke Mulhern put the visitors in front with a 3–2 win in the opener against Ant Hargreaves Jr, before Ray Levesconte doubled the lead by getting past Pete Evans 3–2.

The home side found their feet in game three as Steve Moane produced the standout performance of the night, brushing aside Rob Lauder 3–0 with four ton‑pluses, a 15‑dart leg, a brilliant 140 checkout and a superb 76.4 average. But in game 4, Cringlewood restored their two game lead through Ellis Mulhern, who swept aside Shane Crellin 3–0 to put his side on the brink of victory. At 3-1 down, the Victoria needed to dig deep and find another gear, and they did just that.

But it was close –  Tom Beatie needed a deciding leg to avoid defeat and take a tight fifth game 3–2 against Alex Martin, pulling it back to 3-2, and Andrew Day levelled the overall score with a 3–1 success over Phil Lauder, despite the veteran hitting a 180.

That left it all on the final game of the night, and Dylan Wimbury held his nerve to complete the comeback, edging out David Huddlestone 3–2 to seal a dramatic win for Victoria Burnage.
