Trafford SC made it three league wins on the bounce with a 5–2 home victory over Bulls Head, also taking the gallon 2–0. It was a measure of payback too, having lost 4–3 away in Week 2. The result follows last week’s impressive scalp of then-unbeaten Fusion Aces, underlining Trafford’s sharp run of form.
Jordan Fry got them moving in game one, hitting three tons and a 21-darter in a 3–1 win over Iain Fish who had hit a 19 darter in the leg he won, before Zac Nichols doubled the advantage by edging out Bo Bowman 3–2, landing three tons and a 110 checkout – Bowman landing 4 tons and a 106 checkout of his own in defeat. Liam Galvin kept Trafford’s momentum going, defeating Alex Rydstrom 3–1 with a 23-dart leg, before Bulls Head pulled it back to 3-1 following Steve Hazlehurst’s 3–2 success over Andrew Wood — Hazlehurst piling in four tons and a 17-darter.
Cameron King ensured the win for Trafford in game five with a 3–1 win against Allan Simper, and it was soon 5-1 to the home side after Andrew Davies got the better of Jamie Harris by 3 legs to 1. But there was time for a Bulls Head consolation point as Rob Barber took the last game for the visitors, edging Alex Buckley 3–2.
