After three straight defeats to Roebuck dating back to Spring 2023, Sale Excel finally turned the tables on home turf in this Division 2 clash, taking a hard-earned 5–2 victory. That said, it was Roebuck who struck first on the night, winning the gallon 2–0 to get off the mark.

The main event got underway with Game 1, where Chris Reddy gave Roebuck the perfect start by outscoring Marvin Daniel 3–1. Reddy’s 4 tons and a 52.98 average set the tone early, putting Roebuck 1–0 ahead. Sale hit back immediately in Game 2 thanks to Peter Sage, who edged past Ste Reddy 3–2 in a tight one. Sage’s 5 100+ scores and 52.70 average helped level the match at 1–1.

Game 3 saw Danny Chua cruise to a 3–0 win over Zoe Morris to give Sale the lead, making it 2–1 overall. Michael Watling then doubled that advantage with a 3–2 victory over Hayden Reddy in Game 4, a contest where both players impressed. Warren McCoubrey kept the momentum going in Game 6, registering a 3–0 whitewash over Chris Haycock to make it 5–1 on the night. McCoubrey finished with a 50.10 average and 2 tons. In the final game, Roebuck had the last word, grabbing another point as Rick Kiel rounded off the evening with a 3–0 win over Hannah Tague, firing in 4 tons, a 20 darter and averaging 53.05.
