Melville 5 – 2 Roebuck
Melville came out on top at home in their Week 7 Division 2 clash with Roebuck, taking the match 5–2. The gallon went the other way, with Roebuck claiming it 2–0, to maintain the remarkable feat of being bottom in the division table but top of the gallon!
Jon Powell opened with a 3–1 win over Hayden Reddy, landing four tons, an 86 checkout and the lowest leg of the match at 18 darts, but Ste Reddy hit back in game two for the visitors, beating Tom Powell 3–1. In game 3, Phil Wright made it 2–1 to the Roebuck with a 3–2 win over Bradley Hodgson, registering six 100+ scores and a 20 dart leg, but from there, Melville turned the match around.
Cam McFarlane won a close one 3–2 against Ben Westwood in game four to level the overall score at 2-2, and Gary Brisco soon gave The Melville the lead with a 3–0 result over Rick Kiel in game five, despite Kiel hitting the only maximum of the night. Paul Sambrook sealed the win for the hosts in game six, beating Chris Reddy 3–1 with five ton-plus scores, a 21-dart leg and an 80 checkout, and the Melville turned the screw further as Owen Powell closed out the night with a 3–0 win against Chris Haycock, which included a 20-dart leg.
