Match Information
Garricks Head vs Old Plough
Garricks Head put in a confident home performance, claiming four of the first five games to secure the match and finished up with a solid 5–2 win. Old Plough took a 2-1 win in the gallon, but Garricks Head wont mind that too much as the win in the main game gave them their first victory of the season so far.
Garrick’s Lex Davies opened up with a 2–1 win over Matt Melling to get things rolling for the hosts, and they were soon 2-0 up after Lucas Entwistle secured a 2–1 success of his own against Nick Brown, helping himself to two 100+ scores. 2-0 became 3-0 shortly after as the Garricks threatened to run away with it, as James Heslop saw off Reece Newell 2–0 and added a pair of tons to his tally.
Old Plough werent yet beaten, and pulled one back in Game 4 through Stephen Wilcox, who beat Hayden Tiplady 2–0 to give the visitors their first point of the night, but the comeback was shortlived as Daryl Patrick sealed the match for The Garricks Head in Game 5 with a 2–1 win over Darren Horridge, finding three ton-plus scores in the process. The Plough had time for one more point as Paul Fent answered back in Game 6, seeing off Derek Gilruth 2–0, but it was the Garricks night and Dylan Bell put the match to bed in the final tie, taking down Stuart Ridings 2–0 to cap off a well-earned team win.
