Fusion Sports 5 – 2 Cringlewood B
Fusion Sports turned in a solid display at home to notch a comfortable 5–2 win against Cringlewood B, and while the visitors took the gallon with a 2–1 win, it was the Timperely side who claimed the league win that sees them 1 point off the lead in this early stage of the season.
Jackson Dace got Cringlewood off to a flying start in Game 1, with a deciding leg win over Stephen Barnes in which he hit four 100+ scores, a 79 finish, and a superb 15-dart leg, along with the highest average of the night with a 63.27. However, that would be as good as it got for the visitors as Fusion struck back in the next five games to secure victory. Matthew Barnes got the hosts on the board in Game 2 with a 2–1 win over Harrison Doherty, and Michael McNeil followed up in game 3 by beating Michael Basham by the same margin. Daniel Long then saw off Nick Delaney 2–1 in Game 4, and Rhys Barnes added a clean 2–0 win over Mark Chappell in Game 5 to secure the win. Andrew Mills added a bit more gloss for Fusion in Game 6, coming through a tight contest against Dillon Delaney with a 2–1 win, but Cringlewood pulled one back late as Sean Chappell defeated Tony Pope 2–0 in the final singles.
