Broadheath Central 6 -1 Sale Excel
Broadheath Central made it back-to-back league wins with a convincing 6–1 victory at home to Sale Excel, a win which sees them keep second place, seven points behind Fusion Aces at the top of Division 2. With a 2-1 win in the Gallon to boot, it was a good performance all round for the Altrincham side.
Brandon Lawley opened the night in dominant form for the hosts, sweeping past Hannah Tague 3–0 with six 100+ scores, a 20-darter and a 68.32 average, and Tom Beresford doubled the lead with a clean 3–0 win over Michael Watling, notching five tons and a 22-dart leg. Jordan Woodbridge made it 3–0 overall in game 3, hitting 4 ton plusses while edging out Ryan Potts 3–2 with Potts landing three 100+ scores of his own in defeat.
Sale Excel got on the board in game 4 through Jimmy Nolan, who beat Sam McCallister 3–1, but Broadheath hit back immediately to wrap up the points when Leyton Jackson dispatched Peter Sage 3–1 in the fifth, producing an 18-dart leg and four tons in the process. Leighton Smith-Raynes made it 5-1 with a 3–0 win over Marvin Daniel, aided by four 100+ scores, and Dan Cross finished things off with a 3–1 win over Danny Chua in the seventh, registering five tons, a 24-dart leg to seal the 6–1 win.
