Division 1’s Victoria Burnage made light work of their trip to Division 3 side Bent Brook in the KO Shield Last 16, cruising into the quarter-finals with a 6–1 win. The result was settled after just 4 games, but the hosts did manage to avoid the whitewash late on.

Steve Moane kicked things off for the visitors with four ton plusses during a 2–1 win over Paul Charnock, while Andrew Day followed up with a 2–1 win over Aaron Millington, also landing four tons along the way.

Tom Beatie and Pete Evans added back-to-back 2–1 wins in games three and four over Ryan Smith and Anthony Coleman, both Brook players putting up a fight but ultimately edged out in the deciders, and with Pete’s win, the Vic Burnage were in the Quarter Finals.

It was soon 5-0 as Dylan Wimbury swept aside Sean Digan 2–0, hitting a tidy 73 average and an 18-dart leg, but Sean put up a good fight with a 71 average himself. The Vic were in no mood to ease off the gas, and Shane Crellin extended the lead to 6-0 with a 2–0 win over Ayla Prest-McAllen in game six.

But the final word went to Bent Brook, as Alex Morton produced four tons and a 20 darter in a solid 2–0 win over Ant Hargreaves Sr to give the home side a little consolation and avoid the whitewash.
