Division 1

Big wins for last seasons top two, as Ammies record a resounding 6-1 win over The John Alker to stay top, while St Anthonys B whitewash Volunteer 7-0 to move third (with a game in hand on teams above them) and remain the only unbeaten side in the division. They are seperated in the table by The Victoria Withington who made it four wins from five with victory against Urmston, while the Cringlewood A picked up a second win with a close fought 4-2 victory at the Royal Oak A.

Victoria Withington 4 vs 3 Urmston SC

Victoria Withington edged a tight home clash 4–3 over Urmston SC, having also taken the gallon with a 2–0 win to kick the night off. In a quality game that swung back and forth, the Withington side sealed victory after another fine performance from Jack Jarvis in Game 6, but an Urmston win in the final game gave the match the close scoreline that it deserved.

It was Urmston who struck first, with Shaun Griffiths opening with a 3–1 win over Connor Wigley in Game 1. Despite Wigley winning the opening leg in 19 darts, Griffiths was in sharp form, firing in seven tons,  and a 16-dart leg on his way to a 75.04 average, but The Vic responded in kind through Matthew Jepson in Game 2, as he produced four tons and a 21-dart leg to level the match, beating Brandon Gamble 3–0.

With the match finely poised at 2–2, Terry Jepson then nudged the Vic back in front after claiming the notable scalp of Darryl Fitton in a 3–2 scrap. Jepson hit six tons and an 18-dart leg, and held his nerve in the decider against an out of sorts Dazzler. With his side one win away from victory, Jack Jarvis lit the place up with a commanding 3–0 victory over Gaz Lane to secure the win for Vic Withington at 4–2. Jarvis was outstanding — five tons, back-to-back 180s during a 12-dart leg, and a night-high 83.50 average.

Game 7 saw a super-consistent Mason Gamble restore some pride for Urmston with a 3–1 win over Sean Edwards. Gamble banged in ten tons and a 20-dart leg to cap off a strong personal performance, despite his team coming up just short.
