Both players hit big scores, with Dore’s nine tons and a 19-dart leg contributing to his 70.69 average, while Acton more than played his part in defeat, with a 73.65 which included seven tons, a classy 12-darter and a 124 finish.

With the match in the bag, the Ammies didnt let up and Scott Livingstone made it 5–1 in Game 6, easing past Chris Wormald 3–0, before Callum Nolan put the finishing touch on the night in Game 7 with a 3–1 win over John Hawken, landing five tons, a 22-darter, and a 65.22 average to seal it.
