The tie swung one way then the other, with Cringlewood leading on three separate occasions before the Dog dug in to claim the last two games and snatch the win.

Cringlewood struck first, as Michael Basham saw off Dave Cook 2–0, but Derek Winess pulled it level with a tidy 2–0 win over Dillon Delaney.

Jackson Dace restored the home lead with a 2–0 win over Elliot Wynne, but the Dog hit back again — this time through Tom Spillane, who edged out Mark Chappell 2–1 in game four.

Harrison Doherty made it 3–2 to Cringlewood with a classy 2–0 win over Graham Beech, backed by a match-best 60.12 average and three tons. But that would be the end of the road for the hosts.

Dominic Powell pulled the visitors level again with a 2–0 win against Nick Delaney, before Chris Conduit sealed it in game seven, beating Neil Chappell 2–0 to send the Dog through.
