SMD League Winter 23/24 Week 14 round-up

Promotion battle hots up in Division two, while The Malt Shovels become the first promoted side from Division 3.

Valentines Day had no effect on fixtures in Division 1, but 50% of games were postponed in the other divisions.

As we head towards the business end of the season, theres still a whole lot to play for in all divisions.

Week 11 brought another loss for the Ammies and some big wins across all divisions.

Each division now has a clear leader and title favourite, while the promotion and relegation places are still all in the mix.

We’ve reached the midpoint of the season and the last round of first half fixtures in Division’s 1 & 2 feature some shocks and statement wins!

December 20th saw a full set of fixtures in Divisions 1 & 2. Ive also incuded the rearranged games from 3rd and 10th January in this report.

Some teams were in festive spirit – others had their eyes on the prize in another good week of darts in South Manchester

The Dave Yates Shield is back in play for Winter 23/24 with ten teams involved in the last 16 and three with a bye to the Quarter Finals.

With the nights drawing in and the weather turning grim, it was time for Quarter Finals night in the KO Cup.
